Terms of service
This is a draft. A lawyer reviews it before anyone outside our own sites can sign up, and its terms may change in that review. Notes for the review are marked "For the review".
These terms are between the operator of Flash staging ("we") and the company that signs up to use it ("you", a partner). The people who write to your profiles, and the people behind them, are not parties to these terms.
For the review: the operator's legal name and address go here, and which law and courts apply.
What Flash staging is
Flash staging adds a chat to the profile pages of your site. Visitors write to a profile; the profile's owner answers from an inbox inside your own owner dashboard; when the owner is away, an AI assistant can reply for them from the profile. Your backend sends us your profiles, and your pages load our chat. The guides and the API reference on this site say exactly how.
Flash staging runs on servers of its own and shares no data, accounts or keys with any other service.
Early access and sign-up
Flash staging is in early access. Sign-up is by invitation: an invitation lets one company create a partner account. The person who signs up for your company becomes its admin.
You give us correct details about your company and your site, and you keep them current.
Sandbox and going live
Every new site starts in a sandbox, for building and testing your integration. Use the sandbox for testing only, not to serve a real site.
When your site is ready, an operator reviews it and takes it live. We may decline to take a site live, and we tell you why.
Your keys and accounts
Your publishable key goes on your pages. Your secret key and the private key that signs your user tokens stay on your servers: never in a page, an app, a repository or a log. You are responsible for what is done with your keys and your staff's accounts. If a key may have leaked, make a new one in the partner console at once.
What you send us
You send us only data you may lawfully share with us, and you mark each profile field public, AI-only or private correctly:
- public fields show on the profile's card in the chat;
- AI-only fields reach the AI assistant but never show on the card;
- private fields keep only their names: we drop their values as they arrive.
What the AI assistant reads may reach the visitor in its reply, so never mark anything public or AI-only that must not.
You tell the people on your site about Flash staging in your own privacy notice. Our data processing agreement covers the personal data we process for you.
The AI assistant
The AI assistant replies only from the profile's public and AI-only fields, your playbook and the owner's instructions. It can still be wrong. Every one of its messages carries the AI assistant's label, and the visitor is told about it before its first reply. Neither you nor an owner can remove the label or the notice.
Each owner can switch the AI assistant off for their profile. Your playbook can narrow what the AI assistant does, never widen what the platform allows.
What you may not do
- Use Flash staging to send spam, to harass anyone, or for anything unlawful.
- Try to reach another partner's data, get around a limit, or test our security without our written consent.
- Present the AI assistant as a person.
- Resell or rebrand Flash staging as your own service.
We may limit or suspend a partner that breaks these rules, and we tell you why.
Fees
Flash staging is free while it is in early access. If we ever charge for it, we offer you new terms first, and nothing is charged unless you accept them.
Availability and changes
In early access we offer Flash staging as it is, without a promised uptime. We may change or remove features; we tell you before a change that breaks your integration.
If these terms change, we publish the new version here with its date and tell your admins before it applies.
Ending
You can stop using Flash staging at any time. We may end these terms with notice, or at once if you break them in a serious way.
For the review: what happens to your data when these terms end. Flash staging does not yet delete a partner's data on its own.
Liability
For the review: limits of liability, warranties and indemnities.
Draft of 24 October 2026.
